Let me admit something:  I’ve tried and tried (and tried!) to keep real plants, but I just can’t.  I don’t know why!  My mom is an amazing gardener, and she makes it look SO EASY.  Maybe I just wasn’t born with a green thumb.  We’ve reached a point where my husband says I’m just wasting money if I buy real plants.  (Sad, but true.)  It seems like real plans always die!  The good news?  There are some pretty artificial green plants on the market.  And these fake plants?  They not only look gorgeous (and real!) but also they come at great prices.  Are you interested in checking out some gorgeous artificial green plants?  Then keep on reading!

How to Care for Faux Plants

You would think that, when it comes to fake plants, you can set ’em and forget ’em. Well, not quite the case.

Have you ever wandered around a thrift store and seen a dusty old plant? It’d probably lived in the corner of a dentist’s office for a decade.

Thing is, if you don’t care for artificial plants, they can look kinda janky.

So how do you take care of artificial green plants? Here are some tips:

  • Be wary of direct sunlight. Much like kids’ plastic toys, fake plants will fade in bright sunshine. This isn’t to say that you can’t perch your faux spider plant on a window ledge. You can! Just be sure to rotate your pot so the color stays even.
  • Dust. Yep. You gotta dust these babies. For faux plants, you might consider using a feather duster to get
  • Wash with mild soap.  If your fake plant gets a little funky (no judgment!), wash her down with some warm water and mild soap, using a clean rag.  She’ll shine up real pretty once again!
