Hi friends!  If you’ve been reading the Home Beautifully newsletters, you know that there have been lots of ch- ch- changes around here.  And you know what?  Change can be so, so stressful.  In moments of stress and confusion, I remind myself that to everything there is a season.

And to encourage you to navigate the seas of change, too, I designed this beautiful free printable, just for you.  Want to download a free copy?  Keep on reading!

I hope everyone has been doing well and hopefully enjoying some cooler temperatures as we move through fall.

A lot has been happening, and truthfully I’ve been taking some much needed time to get my legs underneath me as life continues to change. There’s lots of good news and, with that, some changes ahead.

Good News #1: The Job Hunt!

I got a job (thank heavens!) and will be starting back full-time at work in a few weeks.  I was thrilled to accept a position at a local college and will be once again making strides in education.

If you’ve gone through a job hunt, you know the emotional and mental toll it can take, even when trying to embrace “funemployment.”  And if you’re in that position, let me take a moment to tell you this:  you’re amazing;  keep your chin up.

Good news #2: Let’s Get in Shape!

hired a trainer and have finally (thank heavens again!) gotten into the mindset I’ve needed to focus more on my health.  I’ve worked out for the past two days and, while sore, am feeling the joyful buzz of endorphins for the first time in oh-so-long.

Has anyone else hired a trainer before?  I never have.  And you know what?  Wow.  Talk about accountability.  Meeting and hiring Daniel was absolutely the kick in the pants I needed to make some necessary changes.

Good news #3:  Rocking Horse Update!

The rocking horse is almost done!  I’ve officially gone down the rabbit hole of wood carving and can’t wait to finish up, Love, our first rocking horse.  (Pop over to Instagram stories to check her out.)

I have visions of lots of different princess inspired horses I cannot wait to carve dancing through my mind.  Our little pony Love will be donated to charity, and I can’t wait to keep you posted.

I’ll be the first to admit that I historically haven’t handled change with grace.  As someone who has battled anxiety, I’m really working on taking each day one step at a time, trying to keep my thoughts positive, fuel myself in healthy ways, and get rest.

Let’s Remember that To Everything There is a Season

While all these changes are positive, there’s still … change.  And change is hard and scary.  One of the biggest things I’m learning is this:

Everything passes.

Anxiety, trepidation, concern, sadness, anger, despair, rage, worry.  They pass.

When I’m in the moment, and it feels like I’m drowning, it’s hard to remember.  But it’s true.  There’s a time when I feel hard feelings, and a time when they go away.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I love Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 for that reason. This verse reminds me that every moment has its time.

To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
